Jorge Roberts

As CEO, Mr. Roberts is responsible for day-to-day operations, strategic planning and administration for AvPorts. His airport management and P3 (public-private partnership) investment career spans over ten years. He previously led business development for the Carlyle Airport Group (CAG Holdings, the Carlyle Group’s airport platform), where he served as a Co-Founder and Vice President and was a key player in leading the team designated to redevelop the $7 billion Terminal One at JFK Airport, the largest P3 airport infrastructure project in US history.

Prior to Carlyle Airport Group, he was co-founding Vice-president for CCR USA, CCR Group’s US P3 airport-focused subsidiary. Prior to CCR USA, he was Co-founder of Sigma Infrastructure Partners, a P3 airport investment and advisory firm that merged with CCR Group to create CCR USA. Prior to Sigma, he was one of the initial employees and the VP of Corporate Development of Airports Worldwide, formerly ADC & HAS, a global P3 airport investment and operations platform formerly owned by Canada’s Ontario Municipal Retirement System (OMERS) in partnership with Houston Airports (HAS). At Airports Worldwide, he was responsible for leading P3 bids and acquisitions and overseeing the financial performance, air service development and risk management for the company’s global airport portfolio, including TBI, a portfolio that included five management contracts at US airports (e.g., Atlanta-Hartsfield, Burbank, Orlando-Sanford, Raleigh-Durham).

Prior to Airports Worldwide, he advised on M&A transactions in business services, aviation, transportation and infrastructure for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s investment banking practice.

Mr. Roberts is committed to working within his community and has been involved with Management Leadership for Tomorrow, an organization that aims to increase women and minority representation within senior management in corporate America. He continues to be an advisor to the Washington State Model United Nations, an organization he founded over 19 years ago, in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Affairs Council and the students at the University of Washington in Seattle.

He holds an International Airport Professional accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI) and ICAO’s airport management program, two degrees in Business and Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
