Juan Adolfo Solís Matos

Mr. Solís joined AFCO in 2019 as an construction manager and is responsible for oversight and management of program design and construction for projects at all stages of development, and he provides technical leadership and support related to development, planning and operations of all AFCO-managed facilities. He is well respected for his resourcefulness, ability to see the big picture, attention to detail, problem solving capability and focus on efficiency. Since 2017, Mr. Solis has worked on numerous airport projects including DCA, BOS, LGA, EWR and JFK.
As a trained architect, his experience includes managing several large and complex projects at the Port of San Juan and Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport working for Puerto Rico Port Authority, including Runway 8-26 Safety Areas Improvements, Taxiway Sierra Reconstruction, RWY 8-26 ROFA Trees Pruning and the construction of RWY 8 MALSR.
Mr. Solís was previously with Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC in the Planning and Development Department where he managed improvements at Terminals under the Capacity Enhancement Program (CEP). Since 2014, he has been a member of Aerostar’s Operational Risk Committee, San Juan Airport Safety Committee, and Project Review Committee.
Mr. Solis was born in San Juan Puerto Rico and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
