Mr. Kurtz is the Vice President, Engineering & Development.  He is responsible for all matters related to airfield development planning, conceptual design and construction cost estimates and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.  In this capacity he oversees the preparation of preliminary drawings for proposed projects for use in budgeting and selection of architectural/engineering services.  He works directly with the architect/engineer in developing construction drawings and contract specifications.  Mr. Kurtz’s duties also include ensuring the provision of construction supervision services with some recently completed projects including: construction of aprons, runway and taxiway reconstruction, service road and utilities under an ADAP/AIP Agreement; privately financed construction projects including office, shop and terminal facilities and aircraft hangars.  Mr. Kurtz is also responsible for review of tenant plans and specifications for new construction and building modifications, and when requested by the tenant, acts as general contractor for the project.  Mr. Kurtz conducts space inventories of building and land areas for use in developing exhibits for lease agreements, establishing rental fees, and development planning.

Prior to assuming his present position, Mr. Kurtz was Manager – Facilities Engineering.  Before taking this assignment he served as an Engineering Designer for Pan Am World Airways at Teterboro Airport for four years.  He was responsible for land use planning, space inventories, preliminary facility designs and construction supervision.
