Since 1999, AFCO has been operating cargo buildings at the BWI airport, and we currently operate five cargo buildings, three on Air Cargo Drive in the North Cargo Complex, and two on Mathison Way at the Midfield Cargo complex, Baltimore-Washington International Airport, MD.
We are presently building a new 200,000 square feet building with 450,000 square feet of apron, at a cost of $38 million. This special use project will be complete in fall 2019.
AFCO is committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, and we have upgraded LED lighting into our facilities at BWI.
Access to the North Cargo Complex is excellent via Interstate 95 (I-95) to I-195 east to Aviation Boulevard North then east on Air Cargo Drive. BWI is served by several scheduled cargo airlines: ABX Air, Air Transport, Atlas Air, DHL, FedEx, FedEx/Mountain Air, International, and UPS.
BWI ranks 30th for busiest airport in the country for cargo.
